The Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its AWS Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking across the business.
Perform financial close activities, including accruals and related reporting
Support monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasting
Use financial systems and advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets
Conduct headcount reporting, planning, and forecasting
Track, measure, and report on weekly KPI metrics for ongoing or new business initiatives
Provide timely inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling
Identify and resolve data discrepancies; collaborate on solutions
Propose and implement improvements to automate, simplify, or standardize finance processes
Present data-driven insights to facilitate decision-making and business reviews
CA fresher or 1+ year of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), closing of books of accounts, and reporting and analytics
Experience in using data to influence business decisions
Strong financial acumen and analytical/problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze and evaluate data quickly to create actionable business reports
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in the retail industry
Familiarity with VBA, COGNOS, and SQL is a plus
