Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Semantic Search Engineer with expertise in Python, APIs, Generative AI, and document ETL pipelines. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, innovative, and capable of independently contributing to advanced AI/ML solutions like RAG implementations, transformers, and embedding models using Azure AI Search.
Key Responsibilities
Write efficient and scalable Python scripts for semantic search and NLP-based services
Build and manage web APIs using frameworks like Tornado or FastAPI
Develop and deploy RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using Generative AI models
Implement and fine-tune embedding and transformer-based models for AI use cases
Design and build ETL pipelines to process unstructured documents and data using Python
Work with Azure AI Search for indexing, semantic ranking, and intelligent document retrieval
Independently contribute as a self-motivated individual, collaborating as needed with cross-functional teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Python scripting
Proficient in FastAPI or Tornado for backend development and API integration
Experience in developing AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, especially RAG models
Knowledge of transformer architectures (e.g., BERT, GPT, etc.) and embedding techniques
Practical experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines for document processing
Hands-on experience with Azure AI Search or other enterprise-grade semantic search platforms
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work autonomously
Soft Skills
Self-motivated and fast learner with a passion for AI-driven innovation
Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts
Ability to work independently and deliver under minimal supervision
