Specialist - Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in the Foundational Infrastructure (FI) Engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering SLIs and SLOs to ensure a highly available production environment. This critical role involves:
- Collaborating with a global team of platform engineers and software developers.
- Driving SRE disciplines and processes across the global Windows Engineering team.
- Balancing feature development velocity with reliability through well-defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Running the production environment by monitoring system health and availability.
- Analyzing data to identify root causes of network-specific events.
- Developing tools and services for automating the mitigation and remediation of network-related issues.
- Managing the end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services.
- Designing, writing, and delivering software to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of the global network.
- Driving the incident management process and fostering a blameless post-mortem culture.
- Participating in system design, platform management, and capacity planning.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding and/or systems engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C#, .NET, Java, Python.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, and software design.
- Ability to identify and drive improvements in system efficiency and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with other shell scripting languages.
- Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience debugging, optimizing code, and automating tasks.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership.
- Ability to solve novel problems from first principles.
Additional Role Requirements for Development:
- Core Java (90%) and C++ (10%) development experience.
- Strong understanding of data structures and programming concepts.
- Experience in the Banking and Finance domain.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Agile development experience in a fast-paced, time-bound environment.
- Experience in incident and problem management, as well as L3 support.
