About the Role:
S&P Global is looking for a skilled Translator/Data Analyst with proficiency in Hebrew to join our Translations department within the Financial Data Intelligence domain. This team plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate translations for internal teams across various functions, including financial and non-financial data collection, legal, technology, and news departments.
As a key member, you will produce high-quality translations and perform research and data analysis of financial information, ensuring its accuracy and relevance to market intelligence. Your work will directly impact the products and services that S&P Global provides to clients across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translation & Localization: Convert high-level documents from Hebrew to English and vice-versa, maintaining the original tone and style.
- Financial Research & Data Collection: Conduct primary and secondary research to gather relevant financial information for the covered region.
- Client Queries: Address internal and external client queries accurately and promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Review and ensure the quality of all translated and localized materials.
- Glossary & Style Guide Creation: Develop and maintain language glossaries, dictionaries, and style guides for translation.
- Project Participation: Collaborate in various projects and contribute to the expansion of market information.
- Tool Testing & Process Improvement: Participate in testing new tools, ideate, and execute process improvement and automation projects.
What We Are Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Proficiency or native competency in Hebrew and English.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in translation, preferably in financial sectors.
- Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial concepts, statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and key ratios.
- Research Skills: Strong analytical skills for thorough research and attention to detail.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 tools, internet research, and desktop applications.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Language proficiency certification or translation experience in financial industries.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, Lean principles, or machine translation is a plus.
