Job Description:
Purpose of Role:
The ARC Analyst is responsible for resolving complex issues and delivering finance group reporting services to the assigned entities. The role supports the delivery of timely and accurate group results, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while driving outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and compliance.
Key Results / Accountabilities:
- Support larger and/or more sophisticated entities and understand the business and economic environment to implement activities optimally.
- Demonstrate strong analytical abilities in evaluating P&L and Balance Sheet components.
- Coordinate the prompt and accurate recording of financial transactions in line with policies and procedures.
- Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and manage open and overdue items, following up with appropriate staff.
- Validate data and provide input to ensure timely submission.
- Resolve complex issues or escalate further when required.
- Support the preparation of documents and adjustments for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Develop a good understanding of the general ledger and group reporting for respective parties.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate ledger data.
- Engage with senior stakeholders internally and externally as needed.
Key Challenges:
- Keeping business knowledge up to date in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate P&L and Balance Sheet assurance.
- Familiarity with various systems (e.g., general accounting, reporting, direct tax) to reconcile the accounts receivable system.
- Collaborating across geographical locations, time zones, languages, and systems for effective coordination.
- Building strong connections between teams to support Balance Sheet and P&L activities.
- Driving continuous improvement in tools and reports for efficiency.
Additional Information:
- This role requires effective communication and coordination within the team and with external auditors.
- Primary interfaces:
- Internal: GBS teams, GBS business partners
- External: Auditors
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in general and/or financial accounting.
Required Criteria:
- English language competency.
Preferred Criteria:
- Shared service center experience.
- JDE/SAP system experience.
- Flexibility for ANZ (morning) shift.
Travel Requirement:
- Negligible travel expected for this role.
