Job Summary
PayU is looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and stability of our fintech applications. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong testing fundamentals and a knack for problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute manual and automated test cases to validate product features and functionalities.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other QA Engineers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
Report and track defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring proper resolution and verification.
Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing across platforms.
Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Postman, or Python-based frameworks.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ensure testing aligns with business goals, compliance standards, and customer expectations.
Create and maintain documentation for test cases, testing environments, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
2–5 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC, QA methodologies, and testing tools.
Experience working with REST APIs, data validation, and scripting.
Familiarity with automated test tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Experience in using test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, etc.
Ability to write basic SQL queries for backend validation.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS or Azure).
Working knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Scripting experience in Python, Java, or Shell.
