Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Technology Specialist with a strong background in supporting web-based and Windows applications, scripting, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in PowerShell, Python, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, and a working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and enterprise-level batch job operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for web-based and Windows-based enterprise applications.
Write and maintain scripts using PowerShell and Python to automate routine tasks.
Support and troubleshoot WebSphere and Windows applications.
Manage and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL Server.
Monitor and maintain batch jobs for large-scale enterprise environments.
Assist in the deployment and support of cloud-hosted applications.
Stay up to date with modern digital skills and apply them in production support.
Ensure smooth functioning in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and dynamic technical environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Hands-on experience in PowerShell and Python scripting.
Proven experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL and SQL Server.
Familiarity with WebSphere, Windows-based applications, and Unix/Linux environments.
Understanding of cloud platforms and related infrastructure concepts.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Exposure to modern digital technologies and automation tools is a plus.
