Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Python Backend Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at AES.
This role demands deep expertise in Python programming, advanced SQL capabilities, and the ability to manage and process large-scale data with a focus on quality, enrichment, and performance.
The position is based in Pune but offers flexibility with a "Work from Anywhere" option.
Technical Skills Required:
Strong command of Python with practical experience in data-centric backend projects.
Proficient in using core Python libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and NumPy for data processing and transformation.
Proven experience in connecting to databases—preferably AWS Redshift—for reading, processing, and enriching datasets.
Excellent SQL skills with the ability to write optimized queries and tune performance across multiple databases.
Analytical & Data Skills:
Ability to interpret and align raw data with business processes for validation and improvement.
Capable of identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and outliers using logical, pattern-based thinking.
Strong data exploration skills including classification, distribution analysis, and anomaly detection.
Experience in improving data quality through identification of missing values, outliers, and inaccuracies, followed by actionable remediation plans.
