Role Overview
Mastercard is looking for an Analyst in Product Data & Analytics to join a hands-on global team that manages scalable, end-to-end data solutions. This role focuses on transforming data into business value through smart analytics, collaborating with internal teams, and building a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) data platform across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to gather business requirements and design data models.
Serve as the responsible individual for defining sections of the platform’s logical and conceptual data model.
Define and document data mappings, data dictionaries, and data quality/UAT standards.
Maintain and update the Data Catalog to support self-service analytics and SSOT goals.
Translate business needs into high-quality, on-time technical deliverables.
Apply data validation and cleansing techniques on both new and legacy data sources.
Use SQL and other tools to manipulate large-scale databases for insights.
Follow DataOps principles throughout the analytics lifecycle.
Write optimized, maintainable SQL and contribute to code review practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, external vendors, and technology partners for seamless data delivery.
Technical Requirements
4+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, reporting, and data product development.
Proficient in writing complex and optimized SQL queries for large datasets.
Familiarity with data validation, cleansing, and quality control methodologies.
Experience working on platforms like Cloudera Hadoop, Microsoft BI Stack, Big Data technologies, and cloud environments.
Understanding of data architecture and ability to build logical/conceptual data models.
Exposure to Python, Scala, Spark, or similar technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Domo is preferred.
Understanding of data documentation including dictionaries, catalogs, and mappings.
