Job Summary
Join IBM Consulting as an Application Developer working with Java and Web Technologies. You will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, developing solutions that enable clients’ hybrid cloud and AI journeys. Key Responsibilities
Participate in design, code implementation, testing, and support of software applications.
Analyze, validate, and propose improvements for existing software failures alongside architects and technical leaders.
Engage comprehensively in all software development phases including design, development, testing, release, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive discussions and deliver innovative coding solutions.
Ensure delivered applications are responsive, highly available, and maintainable.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
BE/B.Tech in any stream, M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), or M.C.A.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software development.
Proficient in Java 8 or higher.
Strong working experience with Spring Framework (Spring 4 or above) and Hibernate.
Thorough knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Proficient in Exception Handling, Collections, Abstract Classes, Interfaces, Constructors, File I/O, Serialization, and Java Keywords (Static, Final, Volatile, etc.).
Strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, multithreading, and synchronization.
Experience with JSP (Java Server Pages) and Servlets.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Familiarity with build tools like Ant, Maven, and Git.
Experience with design patterns and optimizing their usage.
Proven work experience on Spring Core, Spring ORM, Spring DAO, Spring AOP.
Additional experience with Hibernate is an advantage.
