Job Summary
Accenture is seeking a motivated Application Support Engineer to join its Advanced Application Engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you’ll act as a software detective, identifying issues and delivering solutions across mission-critical applications to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient system operations.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve software-related technical issues across application layers.
Participate in problem-solving discussions to improve system performance.
Support the team by conducting functional test planning and execution.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to fix bugs and system failures.
Implement software patches and updates as required.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems and prevent future incidents.
Document troubleshooting processes and update internal technical guides.
Assist in quality assurance and software testing efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skill: Functional Test Planning
Understanding of software testing methodologies and test life cycle
Experience in test case design, execution, and result analysis
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (like Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Educational Qualification: Minimum 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor’s degree in any discipline)
Experience: 0 to 2 years (Freshers with training/certifications in testing are welcome)
Good to Have Skills
Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting
Understanding of Agile or Scrum-based development
