Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team as an Associate Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data engineering solutions, with a primary focus on Azure and AWS cloud platforms. You will work on building data systems and pipelines, conducting complex data analysis, and collaborating with data scientists and architects to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect big data analytics platforms on Microsoft Azure Cloud to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage ETL code and create pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Data Bricks.
- Work with AWS Data Analytics pipeline services, including Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Quicksight.
- Analyze and organize raw data to prepare it for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
- Build algorithms and prototypes for data analysis and automation.
- Evaluate business needs and objectives, and interpret trends and patterns in data.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance data quality, reliability, and integration.
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition and improve data-driven decision-making.
- Provide support for incident and problem management, ensuring that the agreed SLAs are met for ticket volume and time.
- Contribute to knowledge base updates, training new hires, and participating in hiring drives.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Data Bricks.
- Familiarity with AWS data services such as Kinesis, EMR, Redshift, Quicksight, etc.
- Strong expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with Power BI and strong knowledge of SQL for database design.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java and Python.
- Great numerical and analytical skills.
- B-Tech degree required (Master’s preferred).
- Data Engineering certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer) are a plus.
