Associate Consultant - Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India

Job Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you'll play a critical role in the Windows Engineering function within the Foundational Infrastructure (FI) Engineering team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with a global team of platform engineers and software developers to ensure highly available production environments.
- Adhering to SRE disciplines and processes across the Windows Engineering team.
- Balancing feature development velocity with well-defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to maintain system reliability.
- Monitoring availability and system health of the production environment.
- Analyzing data to diagnose and identify root causes of network-specific events.
- Developing tools and services to automate mitigation and remediation.
- Managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services.
- Writing software to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the global network.
- Driving incident management and fostering a blameless post-mortem culture.
- Participating in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding and/or systems engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, .NET, Java, Python.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, and software design.
- Proactively identifying efficiency improvements to existing systems and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of additional shell scripting languages.
- Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation.
- Experience operating in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership.
- Experience in coding beyond simple scripts.
- Problem-solving ability based on first principles.
Other Qualifications for Development Role:
- Core Java (90%) and C++ (10%) development experience.
- Strong understanding of data structures and programming concepts.
- Experience in the Banking and Finance domain.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Agile development experience in a fast-paced, time-bound environment.
- Experience with incident and problem management, as well as L3 support.
