Job Summary
PayU is looking for an experienced Associate Director – Product Solutions & Strategy (PSS) to lead a high-impact team focused on delivering merchant-specific, scalable digital payment solutions. You will drive product adoption, shape go-to-market strategies, and work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Engineering to deliver tailored solutions that fuel business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development
1.1 Lead, mentor, and motivate the Product Solutions & Strategy (PSS) team to meet objectives.
1.2 Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and accountability.
Strategic Initiative and Planning
2.1 Create and execute strategic roadmaps for enterprise and SMB merchant solutions.
2.2 Align team goals with PayU’s broader product innovation objectives.
Stakeholder Management
3.1 Act as the key point of contact between Merchants, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
3.2 Ensure client expectations are met through active collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Product Innovation and Oversight
4.1 Design business-centric solutions aligned with client requirements.
4.2 Bridge the gap between customized needs and core product features.
4.3 Propose new fintech offerings to maintain PayU’s competitive edge.
Knowledge of Indian Payment Ecosystem
5.1 Demonstrate expertise in payment methods including UPI, BBPS, Cards, QR, Subscriptions, Cross-border, and APMs.
5.2 Monitor industry trends and leverage them to improve product positioning.
Operational Excellence
6.1 Ensure solution delivery is timely, budget-efficient, and meets customer satisfaction benchmarks.
6.2 Improve internal solutioning processes through performance metrics and KPIs.
Drive Product Adoptions and Go-To-Market (GTM)
7.1 Collaborate across departments to promote product adoption.
7.2 Execute go-to-market plans for product launches and improvements.
7.3 Work with marketing and sales for merchant awareness and engagement.
Segment-Wise Strategy Development
8.1 Develop merchant-segment-specific value propositions.
8.2 Identify and prioritize key segments to drive tailored offerings and adoption.
Business and Merchant Impact
9.1 Build strong, trust-based relationships with enterprise clients.
9.2 Present tailored product solutions that contribute to PayU’s revenue growth.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Experience
1.1 12+ years in presales, product management, or product solutioning in fintech or tech environments.
1.2 Proven leadership and enterprise relationship management experience.
Education
2.1 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (mandatory).
2.2 MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred).
Technical & Industry Knowledge
3.1 Deep understanding of Indian digital payment systems and compliance frameworks.
3.2 Technical know-how to guide customer solutioning and platform integration.
3.3 Familiarity with emerging technologies and global payment trends.
Leadership & Soft Skills
