Job Summary
Are you passionate about building impactful relationships with India’s fastest-growing startups? PayU is looking for an experienced Associate Director – StartUp Sales to lead strategic partnerships and drive value through personalized payment, lending, and tech solutions. This high-impact role is ideal for professionals with a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, fintech innovations, and a proven ability to manage CXO-level relationships.
As a Startup Partner Manager, you will lead the P&L for strategic startup accounts, guide clients through GTM strategies, fundraising efforts, and be a key advisor in their growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and manage high-impact relationships with startup founders and key decision-makers.
Promote and sell PayU’s suite of products including payments, lending, and technology services.
Develop and implement customized account strategies for a portfolio of high-growth startups.
Collaborate with startup clients to co-create Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
Support fundraising initiatives and offer strategic consulting throughout startup lifecycles.
Coordinate with internal teams—product, marketing, and solution architecture—to craft compelling offerings.
Monitor startup investment trends and industry shifts to guide client and internal strategies.
Represent PayU at startup events, forums, and industry gatherings to showcase thought leadership.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and success by proactively addressing startup needs and challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within fintech, startups, or payments.
Proven ability to manage and grow long-term strategic relationships with startup founders and CXOs.
Strong understanding of fintech solutions—especially payments and lending.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Analytical and growth-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
