Role Overview:

As an Associate II – IT Asset Management, you will be responsible for handling software license requests, generating reports from ITAM tools, ensuring license compliance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. This role requires minimal supervision and demands strong reporting, analysis, and compliance tracking skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle software licensing requests in accordance with SLA compliance and internal guidelines.

  2. Generate reports from ITAM tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW) and Snow License Manager for software usage and requirements analysis.

  3. Track and monitor trial license expiry notices and temporary usage exceptions to ensure ongoing license compliance.

  4. Identify cost-saving opportunities through software re-harvesting and license optimization.

  5. Download and categorize monthly ticket reports based on geography and issue type to monitor performance against SLA.

  6. Upload software licenses in Snow and SharePoint portals for audit and tracking purposes.

  7. Manage the software repository in alignment with UST internal processes.

  8. Conduct routine health checks of ITAM tools and raise tickets for issues if required.

  9. Offer asset management consulting services to customers as needed.

  10. Mentor A1 band team members and support their professional development.


Performance Measures:

  1. SLA Adherence: Minimum 95% ticket closure within SLA.

  2. Ticket Handling: Maintain ticket volume in line with team average.

  3. Audit Compliance: Zero non-compliance issues in internal/external process audits.

  4. Review Comments: No more than 2 negative feedback comments per quarter.

  5. Automation: Minimum of 2 process automation tasks completed annually.

  6. Training: Completion of at least 2 professional development or certification trainings per year.


Skill Requirements:

  1. Ability to prioritize, escalate, and resolve issues quickly and independently.

  2. Strong skills in Excel, dashboard creation, and data visualization.

  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  4. Self-motivated with a growth mindset and continuous learning attitude.

  5. Collaborative team player; works well in cross-functional environments.


Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Practical experience using ITAM tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW).

  2. Good understanding of ITAM best practices.

  3. Familiarity with ISO 19770 principles (Software Asset Management standards).

  4. ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Foundation-level certification (preferred).
