Role Overview

  1. The Associate Software Engineer will be part of the Finstarter program at Finastra, contributing to the design, testing, and performance engineering of modern financial software solutions.

  2. This role involves working in an Agile environment and supporting development and QA teams by building high-quality, performance-oriented code and automation scripts.

  3. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze requirements, design and execute performance testing plans.

  2. Create, refactor, and maintain performance test scripts for scalability and reliability testing.

  3. Define and monitor performance metrics, ensuring applications meet benchmarks.

  4. Assist in designing and executing performance, scalability, and stress tests.

  5. Work closely with development teams to resolve bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

  6. Support continuous improvement and contribute to performance engineering strategies.

  7. Communicate test results, participate in sprint activities, and contribute to Agile development processes.


Technical Requirements

  1. 0–2 years of experience in software development or performance engineering.

  2. Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

  3. Familiarity with performance tools and test automation.

  4. Understanding of Agile, TDD/BDD methodologies.

  5. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools.

  6. Strong analytical and debugging skills.


Educational Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
