Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer with expertise in Redshift, Glue, SQL, and Python to manage large-scale cloud-based data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency along with client and team handling capabilities in an AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain AWS Data Engineering pipelines utilizing AWS Glue, Redshift, and Python.
Manage job schedules, monitor execution, and ensure SLAs are met within AWS cloud infrastructure.
Handle client communication, manage team deliverables, and resolve job failures in real-time.
Track service-level agreements (SLAs) and optimize ETL workflows to ensure high performance and availability.
Collaborate with AWS, SRE, and D3C development teams to troubleshoot and optimize production jobs.
Write efficient SQL queries to perform data transformations and support business reporting needs.
Ensure best practices in cloud architecture, security, and performance tuning.
Maintain documentation for workflows, error handling, and standard procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially AWS Glue and Amazon Redshift.
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering and transformation tasks.
Solid understanding of cloud-based data warehousing and ETL pipelines.
Proven team leadership and client handling skills with a focus on SLA tracking and incident management.
Experience coordinating with DevOps or SRE teams for deployment and maintenance.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
