Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Chaos Engineer to strengthen the resilience of our systems by proactively identifying and fixing weaknesses through well-structured chaos experiments. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience with industry-standard chaos engineering tools, strong documentation skills, and a passion for improving system stability in cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Chaos Experiment Design and Execution
Design and implement chaos experiments to simulate real-world failures.
Define objectives, hypotheses, and measurable success metrics for each test.
Document detailed experiment procedures and track results, outcomes, and lessons learned.
2. Chaos Engineering Tool Proficiency
Demonstrate hands-on experience with tools such as Chaos Monkey, Gremlin, ToxiProxy, Chaos Mesh, and Chaos Blade.
Utilize Azure Chaos Studio and AWS Fault Injection Simulator for conducting experiments in cloud environments.
Ability to manage and integrate multiple chaos tools is a strong advantage.
3. Cloud Platform Resilience Testing
Execute chaos engineering initiatives on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Leverage native tools (e.g., Azure Chaos Studio, AWS Fault Injection Simulator) for injecting faults and measuring system response.
Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to assess and improve platform robustness.
4. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive records of chaos experiments, setup, outcomes, and any system behaviors observed.
Generate structured reports and clearly communicate results and recommendations to engineering and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
1. Programming & Machine Learning
Proficiency in Python and its application in machine learning environments.
2. Cloud Platforms
Experience with Azure IoT solutions.
Familiarity with GCP DevOps practices.
