Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Azure Function Apps, and modern web technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs and applications that meet both technical and user requirements in a dynamic, distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using full-stack Java technologies.
Deliver high-quality features from conception to deployment for each user story.
Ensure each deliverable meets performance, quality, security, and responsiveness standards.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues.
Maintain code organization and automation through best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet product and technical requirements.
Stay current with trends in web applications and backend technologies.
Continuously upskill as per Cognizant’s learning and development norms.
Required Skills
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Strong proficiency in Java / J2EE and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP API development.
Experience with Azure Function Apps and Microservices architecture.
Proficient in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Experience with AngularJS (v2–8) and MongoDB.
Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, Git, Jenkins, Maven, and other CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of containerization or deployment automation tools like Chef is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed environments.
Strong understanding of modern software development practices and agile methodologies.
