Cognizant is actively seeking a Lead Developer with 3–8 years of experience to join its dynamic team. This role requires expertise in Apache Solr, Lucidworks Fusion, and Python, with strong experience in the Cards & Payments domain. Work on industry-leading, search-based applications in a hybrid setting while mentoring teams and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using Apache Solr and Lucidworks Fusion.
Design, code, test, and debug applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Implement and advocate for best practices in code quality, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
Participate in resource planning, project scheduling, and timely delivery of milestones.
Ensure adherence to security protocols and data protection regulations.
Actively engage in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven hands-on experience with Apache Solr (mandatory).
Experience with Lucidworks Fusion is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Python programming.
In-depth understanding of the Cards & Payments domain.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
