Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Triage Analyst will be a critical part of the 24x7 Threat Detection Operations Centre, responsible for detecting, protecting, and responding to cybersecurity events. The role involves reviewing security events, enriching them, and responding or escalating them to the Cyber Security Incident Response Team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of operating systems and networking concepts and a strong passion for continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor computer networks for security issues
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
- Install security measures like firewalls and encryption to protect systems and information
- Document and assess damage caused by security breaches
- Perform network vulnerability assessments and collaborate with the security team
- Resolve detected vulnerabilities to maintain high security standards
- Stay updated on IT security trends and emerging threats
- Assist with penetration testing and help install security software
- Maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Research and recommend security enhancements
Skills You Will Learn:
- System Administration (Windows Server 2012-2019; Linux)
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Security tool administration (SIEM, O365 Security Administration)
- Antivirus administration (Cylance, Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender)
