Job Specification
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to identify business needs, design data models, perform statistical analysis, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, advanced data manipulation skills, and a passion for extracting valuable information from raw data.
Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and transform large data sets from multiple sources into usable formats for analysis.
Develop and maintain efficient data models, databases, and reporting systems.
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to support strategic business decisions.
Conduct statistical analysis and generate meaningful reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics for measuring business performance.
Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Monitor and evaluate data collection processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Proven work experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
Proficiency in SQL and advanced data manipulation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) to create impactful reports and dashboards.
Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and tools (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing, clustering).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Proficiency and experience using Cloud Technologies including AWS, Azure
Experience using Snowflake.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills (not required but considered a plus):
Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modelling.
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and distributed computing.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
