Job Overview

The Data Analyst, Insights is responsible for analyzing and modeling data to develop analytics that will influence our products and customers. Reporting to the Senior Director, Data Insights & Customer Intelligence, this role will collaborate closely with product management teams, marketing organizations, data engineers, and data scientists to identify trends and effectively communicate key findings to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from various sources, including external labor market data and internal datasets across all our platforms.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking to identify the story in context using multiple data sets and present results effectively.

  • Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend remedies for implementation by data scientists and engineers.

  • Collaborate directly with business teams to understand requirements and communicate results.

  • Identify data mapping and enrichment requirements.

  • Ensure that business is conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with iCIMS policies and core competencies.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce and adapt data visualizations in response to internal and external business requests.

  • Modify existing analyses and/or models as needed.

  • Demonstrate urgency and take initiative in projects.

  • Maintain flexibility and respond appropriately to change.

  • Act on feedback and lessons learned for continuous professional improvement.

  • Enhance knowledge and skills through training and development.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

  • Strong data analytics and visualization skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience creating data charts, dashboards, and calculated fields in Tableau Desktop.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for compiling, formatting, and cleansing data.

  • Familiarity with SQL, particularly various types of data joins.

Preferred

  • BA/BS in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline. Other majors will be considered with demonstrated interest or coursework in quantitative fields.
