Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and database management, with expertise in tools such as Power BI and Tableau. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Dashboard and Report Development: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau to visualize key metrics and KPIs.
• Data Analysis: Translate complex data into actionable insights through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
• Data Integration: Import data from various sources, including on-premise databases, relational databases, and data warehouses.
• Database Management: Proficiently manage relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Query Optimization: Write complex queries, functions, stored procedures, execution plans, and perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and denormalization.
• Data Warehousing: Understand and implement data warehouse concepts.
• ETL Processes: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into a centralized database for analysis.
• Schema Modeling: Create basic schema models to build relationships between different entities in Power BI and Tableau.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategy.
• User Support: Provide support to end-users on BI tools and best practices.
• KPI Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics frameworks to track business performance.
• Data Governance: Design and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Data Quality Assessments: Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and address data anomalies and inconsistencies.
• Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics techniques.
• Vendor Engagement: Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate and implement new BI tools and technologies.
• Programming Experience: Experience with programming languages (Python) is a plus.
• Client Interaction: Attend client calls independently.
• Certifications: BI certification is a significant advantage.
