Position Overview
SingleStore is expanding its Analytics team and seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our "Here to Build" family. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic and tactical aspects of data operations and instrumentation. Reporting to the VP of Instrumentation and Predictive Analytics, this high-impact position will be crucial in driving the company’s growth and success through data-driven decisions. You will help build the foundation for the company's metrics and analytics, working closely with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and support key strategic initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain databases, dashboards, reports, and visualizations to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using tools like SingleStore database, Python, SQL, Notebooks, Tableau, and Excel.
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure high-quality data for analysis, automating workflows where possible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish benchmarks and performance targets that drive continuous improvement, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Optimize and refine existing KPIs, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of go-to-market efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives through analytics and performance reporting.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data analysis principles, statistical concepts, and data visualization techniques.
- Expertise in managing regular reporting and key metrics.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python) and experience with data analysis libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
- Experience with subscription-based business models.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and sales systems/tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, CaptiveIQ, Google Sheets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
