About the Role: Data Analyst (Grade Level: 07)

Join the Events Team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where we collect and analyze corporate actions and event data for approximately 300K public and private companies. Our data, sourced from company reports and news aggregators, is critical for helping clients make informed decisions with confidence. This role requires a keen eye for accuracy and timely delivery of sensitive data.

The Impact:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and comprehensiveness of our datasets. By leveraging internal and external research sources—including government documents, stock exchanges, industry journals, and analyst reports—you will collect, summarize, and synthesize key information to provide high-quality content for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality data collation, analysis, and extraction, adhering to guideline specifications for the assigned vertical.
• Understand the datasets, workflows, and work tools, ensuring strong knowledge of processes.
• Contribute ideas for new data collection methods and product enhancements.
• Meet individual and team targets, delivering high-quality work.
• Troubleshoot issues and support workflow improvements for the department.
• Review feedback to correct errors and refine procedures for improved data accuracy.

What We’re Looking For:

• MBA Fresher with a Finance specialization and a strong academic track record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, including financial statements and annual reports.
• Familiarity with secondary research sources and tools.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to conduct efficient thematic online research.
