Position Overview:
As a Data Engineer II within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Operations organization, you will be crucial in maintaining business continuity for critical processes, IT systems, and solutions through various project implementations. Based in Bangalore, you will enhance our data engineering capabilities, delivering robust data pipelines and solutions through the EDP for multiple business groups and divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform source-to-target data analysis and mappings.
- Collaborate with administrators, developers, data engineers, and analysts to ensure the successful delivery of functionality.
- Conduct requirement analysis and coordinate with project managers and development teams to drive project delivery cycles.
- Work with the Scrum Master on product backlogs and assist with sprint planning.
- Build and test data pipelines for various use cases (real-time and batch) based on project needs.
- Support the evolution of the EDP architecture and contribute to initiatives or changes in the data platform architecture roadmap.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure data quality and integrity in Data Warehouse (DWH) and AWS platforms for BI/Analytical reporting.
- Anticipate and communicate potential risks to stakeholders, formulating action plans to mitigate issues.
- Support development activities in data engineering as needed.
- Follow Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to deliver solutions and product features.
- Ensure the team adheres to prescribed development processes and methodologies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in delivering data solutions.
- Proven experience building Cloud BI solutions using AWS and Azure as data lake backend sources, with familiarity in tools like Power BI or similar for data visualization.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and following DevOps, DataOps, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong proficiency in PySpark, preferably on Databricks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and business requirement documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple regions and time zones using diverse communication methods (Email, MS Teams, etc.).
- Exceptional prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
