Product Solutions: Marketing, sales, and distribution of performance and specialty products across chemicals and lubricants. Our India planning teams also collaborate with global business units on business planning and analytics.
LNG Affiliate: Providing consulting services for ExxonMobil’s upstream affiliates and conducting LNG market development activities.

Role Overview
As a member of our team, you will tackle challenging problems related to sales and operations planning, logistics & distribution, and materials management within the global supply chain for hydrocarbons. You will:
Analyze problems in the oil and gas sector, both commercially and technically, and formulate solutions using engineering, numerical, data science, and programming skills.
Collaborate with data scientists, computational scientists, engineers, software developers, and geoscientists worldwide to develop and apply computational tools, models, and software.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement machine learning models, using techniques like pattern recognition, deep learning, and statistical analysis, to provide business insights and solve complex problems.
Design, build, and execute studies using proprietary or commercial tools, calibrating models to field data and providing optimization recommendations.
Apply domain knowledge and subject-specific models (e.g., physics-based) to deliver actionable insights.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) with a score of 70% or above (or equivalent CGPA).
Minimum 4 years of experience in data science applications, including time series analysis, machine learning, and natural language processing.
Proficiency in Python or Dataiku and experience with statistical analysis techniques (e.g., classification, regression) and machine learning methods (e.g., decision trees, neural networks).
Experience with Python & R and related packages (e.g., numpy, pandas, sklearn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Knowledge of software engineering practices, agile methodologies, DevOps, and version control.
Experience with data science frameworks such as Azure Databricks is preferred.
Knowledge of supply chain operations, physics-based or data-driven models, and commercial software development is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
