Job Summary
Due to our rapidly growing corporate activities, we are seeking a full-time, office-based Desktop Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team.
Responsibilities
We have several openings across different levels and skill areas. The following list provides examples of some technologies we work with. While experience in these specific technologies is desirable, a positive attitude and strong work ethic are the most crucial attributes. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and a “do what it takes” attitude.
- Mobile Device Management: Design and implement MDM policies and procedures.
- Application Deployment: Configure and deploy mobile applications using Intune.
- End User Computing: Monitor and manage end-user computing applications, deployments, and devices for compliance.
- Technology Trends: Stay updated on best practices, technologies, and methodologies related to Microsoft tooling and other third-party tools.
- Patch Management: Administer, create, and package applications and operating system security patches using Microsoft Configuration Manager tools and PowerShell scripting.
- Infrastructure Security: Ensure secure operations of infrastructure technologies, including security updates, vulnerability management, role access management, and configuration hardening.
- OS Support: Provide expert support for Windows, MacOS, and other desktop operating systems.
- Scripting: Utilize scripting skills in SQL, PowerShell, VBScript, WMI Scripting, and Python.
- Automation: Demonstrate proficiency in task automation and process documentation.
- Policy Creation: Develop and maintain policies and training for end users and IT teams.
- Management Experience: Leverage advanced OS and Microsoft management experience.
- Vendor Interaction: Work with hardware manufacturers and software publishers to resolve issues.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and Autopilot technologies is strongly desired.
- Asset Management: Have working knowledge of asset management tools, processes, and procedures.
- Conference Room Tech: Prior experience with conference room technologies, collaboration tools, and A/V support is a plus.
- Off-Hours Support: Provide 24/7 support as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proficiency in enterprise desktop management.
- Solid experience with SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong scripting skills.
- Desire to learn and grow with a solid foundation of experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects, applications, and priorities effectively and simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with peers, end users, and management.
- Demonstrated decision-making, self-management, and teamwork capabilities.
