Job Summary
Fortrea is seeking a visionary DevSecOps Engineering Lead to spearhead enterprise-wide transformation in cloud automation, secure software delivery, and CI/CD pipeline management using Azure DevOps. This strategic role involves setting the DevSecOps roadmap, enforcing engineering standards, and driving automation, scalability, and security across the software development lifecycle.
Summary of Responsibilities
Lead the design and enterprise-wide rollout of DevSecOps practices with a focus on Azure DevOps.
Drive the implementation and execution of the DevSecOps adoption strategy and roadmap.
Define and maintain Azure DevOps architecture standards for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern automation tools.
Oversee adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring scalable, secure cloud infrastructure.
Act as product owner for DevSecOps tooling — delivering standards, governance, and enablement frameworks.
Collaborate with Security, Cloud, Engineering, and Compliance teams to scale secure DevOps capabilities.
Champion engineering enablement through self-service tools, reusable templates, and knowledge sharing.
Mentor and develop DevSecOps champions across teams and lead capability-building initiatives.
Standardize the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and lead the implementation of test automation strategies.
Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including metrics for cost optimization and compliance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and engineering excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years in DevOps-related roles, with 3+ years as a DevOps Architect.
Required Soft Skills
Strategic thinker with a passion for enablement and continuous improvement.
Proven leadership experience, with ability to influence cultural change.
Strong communication and advocacy skills to promote DevSecOps practices.
Ability to mentor and empower teams to enhance DevSecOps maturity.
Required Technical Experience
Proven expertise in Terraform and IaC tools for infrastructure automation.
Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline architecture, and modern automation frameworks.
In-depth understanding of DevSecOps principles and integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to drive DevOps transformation, roadmap delivery, and cross-functional engagement.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Familiarity with monitoring tools and metrics for DevOps performance tracking.
Deep expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure.
