Role Overview:
Looking for an Engineering Manager who is technically sound, product-minded, and people-focused.
You will build quality software, influence engineering culture, and drive technical strategy.
Lead by example and mentor a high-performance engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Attract and hire top engineering talent.
Own and drive the technical strategy and roadmap.
Influence change and encourage innovative thinking.
Implement and champion best engineering practices.
Partner with tech leads and architects in technical problem solving.
Guide the professional and personal development of team members.
Foster a culture of autonomy, confidence, and ownership.
Drive cross-functional collaborations with Product, Business, and Ops.
Promote engineering excellence and craftsmanship.
Ensure the team understands Razorpay’s mission and aligns with it.
Mandatory Qualifications:
8+ years total experience.
5+ years in large-scale applications.
3+ years in a people management role.
Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
Experience in distributed systems and large data processing.
Proficiency in one or more: PHP / Python / C++ / Java.
Strong knowledge of web technologies and RDBMS/messaging systems.
Good to Have:
Active GitHub side projects.
Contributions to open-source.
Experience in a product-based company.
Working knowledge of backend programming languages.
