Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong technical expertise in Java or .NET, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, or PCF, and a passion for building large-scale, enterprise-level architecture solutions. Experience in AI/ML or Generative AI is an added advantage.
This is a senior-level hybrid role based in Chennai, focused on designing modern enterprise solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with digital transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and drive enterprise-wide architecture strategies across application, infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
Create architecture blueprints, implementation roadmaps, and detailed technical documentation.
Ensure alignment across various technologies such as data platforms, ERP, CRM, AI, DevSecOps, and cloud services.
Evaluate technologies and platforms, and provide strategic recommendations for adoption.
Lead cloud transformation efforts using AWS, Azure, GCP, PCF, or OpenShift.
Design and propose scalable AI/ML-powered architectures where applicable.
Guide and mentor technical teams on best practices, architectural patterns, and design principles.
Engage with executive leadership to present architecture strategies and solutions.
Integrate DevSecOps and automation into architecture solutions.
Ensure security, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency in solution designs.
Stay updated with the latest in technology, architecture trends, and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of experience in software development and enterprise architecture.
Deep expertise in either Java or .NET platforms.
Proven experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, or PCF.
Strong understanding of architectural patterns, microservices, and cloud-native principles.
Practical experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automation pipelines.
Solid knowledge of security architecture, data governance, and compliance standards.
Prior experience in AI/ML integration is preferred.
TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certification is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex solution designs.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
