Job Summary
Medpace is expanding rapidly and is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team in a full-time, office-based role. This position is focused on administrative systems and the modernization of legacy applications. Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collect, analyze, and document user requirements.
- Software Development: Design, modify, develop, and support software applications.
- Validation and Testing: Participate in the software validation process, including the development, review, and execution of test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Lifecycle Management: Follow the software development life cycle (SDLC), encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Team Communication: Collaborate with team members on projects, development, tools, and procedures.
- Development Skills: Utilize skills in object-oriented programming (C#), databases (SQL), and web applications (ASP.NET).
- Leadership: Potential to lead software development projects as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with C#, Angular, Web Services, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases is preferred.
- Advantageous Experience: Familiarity with Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, and modernizing systems to a cloud-based platform (Azure) is a plus.
- SDLC Knowledge: Understanding of the software development life cycle and software release management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in English.
