Job Overview
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, including installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
The role also involves customer training, system approval, and acting as a technical liaison for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation of Sensia systems and equipment at customer locations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
Conduct equipment diagnostics and perform necessary system repairs or calibrations.
Approve and verify the operational quality of systems post-installation.
Instruct customers on proper usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for deployed systems.
Maintain clear communication with customers as the primary point of contact during field assignments.
Serve as a bridge between customers and Sensia's engineering and support teams for technical and administrative coordination.
Required Qualifications
A four-year engineering degree from a recognized institution.
Experience in programming PLCs, preferably using Rockwell Automation platforms.
Strong troubleshooting skills with Rockwell Automation tools and control systems.
Previous field or technical support experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including assignments lasting two to three weeks at a stretch.
Must be located in the United States.
