Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking a GeoSpatial Lead – Java with specialized expertise in SAP SCM Warehouse Management (WM) and Inventory Management. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker and technical leader who can drive integration between SAP WM and other modules or external systems to ensure efficient, scalable, and optimized business workflows in geospatial contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and deployment of SAP SCM Warehouse Management (WM) solutions to streamline inventory processes.
Oversee SAP WM integration with handling unit management to improve warehouse efficiency.
Provide functional expertise in SAP Inventory Management to enhance accuracy and throughput.
Manage the SAP Implementation Process to align with business goals and project timelines.
Coordinate seamless interfacing of SAP WM with third-party and external systems.
Collaborate across departments to integrate SAP WM with modules like MM, SD, and PP.
Analyze and translate business requirements into tailored SAP solutions.
Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot issues for high availability.
Develop, maintain, and improve process documentation for internal use and audits.
Mentor and train junior consultants and developers to strengthen technical capability.
Apply best practices in SAP WM implementation for optimal system utilization.
Stay updated with emerging SAP and geospatial technologies to drive innovation.
Ensure all implementations comply with industry standards and data security regulations.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with SAP SCM Warehouse Management and Inventory Management.
Proven track record in leading SAP WM implementations and integrations.
Familiarity with handling unit management within SAP.
Experience in Java development to support geospatial customizations and extensions.
Strong knowledge of interfacing SAP WM with external applications or platforms.
Ability to integrate SAP WM with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
