Key Responsibilities
Data Analyst work closely with the Head of Data Services and Products teams to lead attributes of spend cubes
build or to assist in developing visualization products for clients. They are expected to understand practical issues
with data and identify resolutions.
Data Handling
Data Collection – Participate on calls with stakeholders (internal and external, based out of US)
to gather data from various sources (email, Dropbox, Egnyte, Databases)
Data Audit – Lead assessment of data quality, identify gaps and create summaries as per database
Requirements
Data Scrubbing – Assist with creating data cleansing rules and incorporate data clarifications
provided by data source owners
Data Profiling – Assist with creating multi-dimensional data views, data analysis, reports and
extracts
Data Classification
Spend Classification – Analyze procurement spend & use several techniques to comprehensively
classify into a custom taxonomy in Impendi’s spend analytics tool
Enhancements – Diligently incorporate feedback and make recommendations for process
improvement
Report generation – Create specific and opportunity spend-assessment reports/templates
Manage periodic refreshes – Lead discussions with US-based stakeholders for data gathering,
data quality checks, control total validation and spend classification.
Industry Research
Secondary Research – Conduct market research to create company, industry primers, etc. using
online secondary data or information sources
Technical requirement
Python – Hands on experience in Python, Understanding of the threading limitations of Python,
and multi-process architecture
MySQL – Able to integrate multiple data sources using MySQL
Business Problem – Able to create a solution for Business Analytical problems using Python
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Work Experience – 2-4 years of experience in Procurement Data Analysis, Spend Analytics and Data Management
Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Applications
Job Requirements: Highly motivated individuals of any background with:
Experience in handling spend data and understanding of spend classification
Exposure to data visualization tools
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Power Point
Good eye for technical troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting activities
Attention to details, high output accuracy and out-of-box thinking to bring in innovative approaches to
problems/issues in data processing
Good spoken and written English communication skills; should be able to participate in global team calls
Experience in supply chain (preferred)
