Job Summary
As a Guidewire Developer, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of complex Guidewire-based insurance solutions. You’ll work with advanced tools and technologies such as GxModel, web services, XML, and document composition systems while collaborating with global delivery teams on impactful projects.
This role is PAN India eligible, with the base location being Chennai (ex Madras).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain modules within Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).
Work on configuration, integration, and rating aspects of Guidewire solutions.
Load and manage admin data within the Guidewire framework.
Integrate with third-party systems using Web Services, XML, and messaging queues.
Work with document tools such as Xpressions and Thunderhead.
Design and modify workflows for policy, billing, or claims processes.
Work with Oracle or SQL Server databases and write efficient SQL queries.
Participate in Agile/SCRUM methodologies—Certified Scrum Masters (CSMs) preferred.
Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
Apply software engineering best practices and collaborate within global delivery environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3 to 15 years of experience in Guidewire development.
Proficiency in at least one core Guidewire module (Policy, Billing, or Claims).
Insurance domain experience with Property & Casualty (P&C) focus.
Experience with GxModel, messaging, and batch implementations.
Hands-on experience with admin data loading in Guidewire.
Good command over Web services, XML, and integration protocols.
SQL proficiency with Oracle or SQL Server.
Familiarity with SCRUM Agile practices; Scrum certification preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
