Job Summary
Cognizant India is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (B2) with 6 to 10 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development, including Java 18+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and front-end technologies such as Angular and TypeScript. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Java 18+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, SQL Developer, Oracle PL/SQL, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Implement and maintain responsive front-end components using Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, and HTML.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and responsiveness through continuous optimization.
Identify performance bottlenecks and resolve complex bugs.
Conduct detailed code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in the full SDLC, including requirement gathering, system design, development, and deployment.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Stay updated with the latest trends in Java development and financial software architecture.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection standards.
Collaborate with QA to maintain the delivery of high-quality, defect-free software products.
Required Skills and Qualifications
6 to 10 years of professional experience in Java Full Stack development.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 18+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and Oracle PL/SQL.
Proficient in front-end development using Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, and HTML.
Good understanding of the Investment Banking and Brokerage domain.
Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Comfortable working in a hybrid model (remote + in-office).
Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to process improvement.
Team player with a proactive attitude.
