Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a Java MSB Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud environments, modern CI/CD pipelines, and be comfortable developing scalable web services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop enterprise-grade applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services and Microservices using the Spring ecosystem.
Work with application servers such as Tomcat, TOMEE, JETTY, JBOSS, or WebSphere (WAS).
Develop and optimize solutions involving relational databases like Oracle, Informix, or MySQL.
Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka, WebSphere MQ, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
Apply unit testing and automation testing using frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or Selenium.
Handle web service data formats such as XML, JSON, and APIs integration.
Utilize cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience.
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment and automation.
Write clean, scalable code using efficient data structures and algorithms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and J2EE.
Proficient in REST/SOAP API development and Microservices design.
Hands-on with cloud deployment on AWS or Azure.
Working knowledge of application servers, databases, and messaging systems.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
Experience in CI/CD processes and modern DevOps practices.
Strong programming, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment with cross-functional teams.
