What Do We Do?
The SaaS Observability team provides best-in-class observability solutions to Oracle’s SaaS engineering teams globally.
The backend engineering team develops and maintains microservices in Golang, running on Kubernetes. These services handle:
Telemetry ingestion at scale (metrics, logs, traces)
APIs for data access and alerting
Integrations with systems like Grafana, OpenTelemetry, data lakes, and analytics tools
Multi-tenant, globally deployed, highly available infrastructure
We manage huge volumes of telemetry data, and our focus is on performance, efficiency, and reliability.
What We’re Looking For in You
BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field
Fluency in Golang, Rust, Java, or C++ (we use Go)
Understanding or course experience in:
Distributed systemsBonus Points:
Experience with Golang and building microservices
Experience deploying apps on Kubernetes
Experience on cloud platforms: OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of backend observability systems
Write clean, performant, and maintainable code
Participate in on-call rotations
Operate critical backend systems with a focus on improving performance and reliability
Collaborate with global, diverse engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
