Junior Data Analyst - Esg Data

Position Summary:

The Junior Data Analyst position at ISS ESG involves conducting desk research and analysis on companies' management of environmental and social risks, compliance with international norms on responsible business conduct, and industry-specific ESG trends. The role requires adherence to data methodology and quality standards, along with timely completion of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct basic and advanced desk research and analysis on companies' environmental and social risk management and compliance with international norms.
2. Learn about ESG trends and industry-specific issues to provide informed insights.
3. Address internal and client queries to ensure alignment with data methodology and policy guidelines.
4. Maintain data quality by following established work process standards.
5. Meet predetermined turnaround goals for assigned work assignments.
6. Escalate data interpretation issues and perform root-cause analysis for identified data issues.
7. Update internal documents for monitoring performance metrics.
8. Participate in working committees, projects, or tasks beyond core responsibilities.
9. Maintain appropriate paper and electronic files as per ISS and client file retention policies.

Qualifications:

• Post-Graduation in Finance and Economics.
• Experience in data collection and analysis, or knowledge in ESG and business research preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent English communication (both oral and written) and reading comprehension skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines.
• Fast learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and processes.
• Willingness to work beyond traditional working hours/days as required.
