Job Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Lab Analyst with expertise in fuel oil testing to join our team. This role involves conducting tests on fuel oil samples, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering accurate results to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Analysis: Perform routine and complex testing of fuel oil samples using various analytical techniques such as spectrometry and chromatography.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, calibrate instruments, and ensure accuracy in test results.
- Data Management: Record and interpret test results, maintain detailed documentation, and generate analytical reports.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to SOPs and quality control protocols; assist in internal and external audits and corrective actions.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols for handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials; stay updated on regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with team members and departments to resolve issues and communicate test results effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in a laboratory setting with a focus on fuel oil or petrochemical analysis.
- Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
