Position Overview: We are inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Selenium & JavaScript. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality in software development, from initial requirements to deployment. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, reporting, and addressing issues to maintain excellence in our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, analyze them, and create detailed test scenarios.
- Clarify requirements and provide accurate estimations during sprint planning.
- Develop test plans, strategies, and cases, maintaining and updating test artifacts.
- Design and set up necessary test environments and data for effective testing.
- Utilize software testing experience with Web or SaaS-based products and SQL Server databases.
- Work with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Employ testing frameworks like Playwright, WebDriver IO, Protractor, or Cypress.
- Leverage BDD frameworks like Cucumber for behavior-driven development.
- Test web services (SOAP/REST) focusing on throughput, performance under load, and more.
- Work with relational databases, demonstrating proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Apply functional, regression, and stability testing techniques effectively.
- Collaborate within cross-functional development teams to ensure product quality.
- Explore alternative technologies and approaches to problem-solving.
- Break down problems, document them, and estimate efforts for resolution.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Exhibit strong team-building and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- B.E./BTech/MCA/MTech or equivalent degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in software testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in testing, including test case design, execution, reporting, and maintenance of test artifacts and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and understanding requirements.
- Familiarity with testing tools and automation frameworks, preferably Cucumber and WebDriver IO.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript scripting.
- Experience developing UI automation scripts, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Proficiency in using GIT repositories and commands.
- Experience with test management tools, preferably Rally or JIRA.
- Ability to devise comprehensive test scenarios for thorough test coverage.
- Expertise in testing variants, including API, Functional, Regression, and Smoke testing.
- Strong skills in effort estimation and adherence to organizational guidelines.
- Experience interacting with stakeholders, project management, and clients to accurately receive and review feedback.
- A proven team player with extensive experience in Agile/V&V methodologies.
