Role Overview:
Indegene is hiring a Lead Engineer – GenAI (Associate Manager – AI Engineer) to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and Generative AI applications. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies including LLMs, OpenAI APIs, RAG pipelines, and AWS/Azure to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions in the healthcare-tech space.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build AI/ML models focused on performance, scalability, and practical business impact.
Develop Generative AI systems using LLMs, RAG techniques, OpenAI APIs, and AWS Bedrock.
Implement robust MLOps pipelines including CI/CD, monitoring, retraining workflows, and model versioning.
Architect scalable AI systems on AWS and/or Azure with optimal cost-efficiency.
Build and expose AI capabilities via APIs for seamless integration into enterprise ecosystems.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align AI capabilities with business goals.
Lead and mentor junior AI engineers, enforcing best practices in development and deployment.
Prepare and process data for GenAI model training.
Integrate AI systems with Snowflake, AWS, and enterprise data platforms.
Technical Requirements:
5+ years of AI/ML development and deployment experience including leadership exposure.
Proficient with GenAI technologies like LLMs, LangChain, Streamlit, OpenAI APIs, and RAG.
Solid experience with AWS Bedrock, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS), and GenAI deployment practices.
Skilled in Python for AI/ML and Streamlit for rapid prototyping.
Experience with Snowflake integration for GenAI workflows is a strong plus.
Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, agile methodologies, and test-driven development.
Strong documentation, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience working in international or healthcare-focused environments.
Familiarity with responsible AI development and privacy/compliance standards.
