Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to manage our business processes on Smartsheet across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in business analysis, advanced Excel and Smartsheet capabilities, and strong critical thinking skills. The ability to communicate details effectively across teams is crucial, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The role will specifically support and enhance an existing staff planning and resource model, which drives financial models. This model tracks positions through their lifecycles, supports business case development, and provides operational insights on resource movements across the technology organization. Additional responsibilities include improving the model, designing new capabilities, and engineering new business solutions as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to consolidate their skills and broaden their experience. The role offers exposure to senior leaders, program managers, finance managers, recruitment, and HR teams while reporting to a senior leader in the Technology PMO team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and support a large resource model by thoroughly understanding business logic and financial impact.
- Develop and support Smartsheet solutions as required by the business.
- Administer Smartsheet across the organization.
- Analyze underlying data to provide reporting and support budget and business case development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, data analysis).
- Expertise in Smartsheet, including advanced capabilities like Data Mesh, Data Shuttle, and Data Tables.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with high agency.
- Knowledge of Power BI is desirable.
- Experience with project management methodologies is desirable.
- Experience in leading a team is desirable.
