Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a Lead Technical Program Manager to join its Transfer Solutions team. This team drives Mastercard’s global payment expansion through Disbursements, Remittances, and Bill Payments. As a key leader in this organization, you will manage the delivery of complex, cross-functional digital payment initiatives. You will operate across multiple Agile teams to drive high-impact execution, process improvements, and technical alignment while ensuring strategic delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile processes across multiple teams including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
Guide teams in implementing Agile best practices, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
Ensure smooth delivery by identifying and resolving risks, dependencies, and blockers.
Drive synchronization across teams by managing cadences and integration points.
Own and communicate the program backlog, delivery metrics, and progress dashboards.
Collaborate with product managers to prioritize deliverables and maintain healthy backlogs.
Manage program-level execution from initiation through delivery across all service layers.
Champion continuous improvement by removing excess processes and promoting flow.
Serve as a point of contact and lead status reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
Represent your domain with technical confidence, design awareness, and delivery clarity.
Partner with engineering, product, and external vendors to optimize delivery strategy.
Support and mentor Agile teams in transformation, execution, and leadership practices.
Maintain full transparency into team workflows using information radiators and metrics.
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in program or project management within technology organizations.
Strong expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and DevOps.
Proven ability to run Agile ceremonies and manage product lifecycle workflows.
Skilled at risk assessment, dependency management, and unblocking delivery teams.
Strong understanding of software engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Ability to translate complex concepts into clear action items and communications.
Proficiency in using Agile tooling and dashboards for program tracking.
Background in software development or product management is highly preferred.
Excellent stakeholder communication, reporting, and leadership capabilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the commercial card, payments, or corporate banking domain.
Ability to work independently in ambiguous and evolving environments.
Strong decision-making, organizational, and mentoring skills.
Familiarity with metrics and dashboards to measure delivery velocity and program health.
Experience working with external technology partners and third-party vendors.
