Role Overview
Join Salesforce’s Product Research and Insights team focused on enterprise SaaS and technology products.
Lead and drive generative and foundational user experience research, especially qualitative research.
Work primarily on Automation and Integration Cloud products, including Flow Builder, Flow Orchestration, RPA, and MuleSoft suite.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to influence product strategy with user-centric insights.
Distill complex problems into actionable insights that guide design, development, and business decisions.
Advocate for user needs and deliver best-in-class user experiences.
Responsibilities
Scope and lead research projects to inform product strategy, design, and development.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and identify gaps in product thinking for targeted research.
Conduct a variety of research methods: large-scale (surveys, behavioral data analysis) and small-scale (interviews, moderated testing).
Synthesize research findings into clear insights and recommendations, and share these across teams.
Partner with product owners, designers, engineers, competitive intelligence, and other researchers.
Create narratives to frame problems and communicate business value of solutions.
Act as a strategic partner to key executives shaping long-term product vision.
Manage fast-paced projects requiring detail orientation and work within tight timelines.
Collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams and time zones.
Required Experience and Skills
For Lead Researcher: 9 to 15 years of experience conducting user experience research in IT product-based companies.
Proven impact on user experience or product strategy through research insights.
Ability to plan, design, execute, and communicate strategic and tactical research studies.
Skilled in leading workshops, design studios, and analyzing outcomes for actionable insights.
Expert knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and processes.
Experience working in cross-functional teams including product management, design, and engineering.
Comfortable with basic statistics and behavioral data analysis.
Preferred (but not required)
Experience in enterprise iPaaS and automation technologies.
People management experience.
Leading research for entire products independently.
Flexibility to work with global teams across multiple time zones.
