The team in Bangalore, India supports the Supply Chain, Planning and Analytics (SCPA) team located in Columbus, OH. The mission of the SCPA team is to be the Internal Competency engine providing end to end visibility, transparency, and transformation within the Global Supply Chain across multiple domains and planning horizons and driving complex analytics that are essential to help the organization maximize value from the supply chain across all the brands and channels – Victoria’s Secret, Pink, and Victoria’s Secret Direct.
A successful Data Analyst has the ability to build positive work relationships, mutual trust and respect in order to create the collaborative relationships required. Responsibilities include but not limited to
– Collecting, consolidating, and normalizing data/master data to support Supply Chain Modeling and Analytics
– Responding to data requests by determining needs, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide accurate and complete reports.
– Working with other analysts to perform a variety of ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested
– Performing checks and audits of various data sources to ensure data is accurate and complete
– Additionally, he/she will be responsible to recommend and implement better ways to make the process lean and efficient
The position will initially focus on Data Management and Organization with extended scope to Analysis, Analytics and Supply Chain Modeling
– Formulating and developing data and network models required to address requests from Supply Chain partners to solve business challenges.
– Performing analysis using the data and network models and delivering analytics, insights, and recommendations for different Supply Chain scenarios.
– Support Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities
·Acquire/Extract data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain Databases/data systems
·Filter, clean and normalize data, review reports, worksheets, and performance indicators to validate data
·Maintain data dictionary by revising and entering definitions
·Create and document logical data integration strategies for data flows between disparate source/target systems, Enterprise Data Warehouse and the Data repository database
·Define and maintain standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, storing, searching, and delivering enterprise-wide data
·Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality
·Develop and implement data models
·Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
·Work closely with cross functional teams to prioritize business and information needs
Qualifications/Skills |
4-year graduate degree in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred
Proven working experience as a data analyst
Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and statistics principles
Detail oriented
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate business needs into analytical specifications
Ability to make strategic recommendations based on analytical results
Effective team member with strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated individual contributor and team player
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight timelines

Qualifications
1-3 years working experience within a data modeling/data analyst role
Experience in a retail/wholesale industry in a multi-echelon setting with building models using statistical and advanced mathematical techniques
Experience in writing complex SQL queries to extract data from multiple sources
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.).
Experience with advanced Excel functions and proficiency with MS Office suite
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Good to have
Experience in supply chain planning, network and process modeling, process analysis, simulation and other operations research competencies
Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouses and big data technologies (like Hadoop/MAP-R/Snowflake)
Basic programming knowledge
Working knowledge of ERP transactional systems (SAP/JDA/Manugistics)
Technical aptitude and familiarity with application of supply chain optimization and simulation modeling tools such as Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, LogicNetPlus, Inventory Analyst, OptiLogic Cosmic Frog a plus but not a requirement
Knowledge/experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
