Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a Manager, Full Stack Software Engineering to lead a high-impact team responsible for building scalable, modern web applications and data pipelines. This role is critical to the Advance Analytics Program, part of Mastercard’s Data & Services division, supporting products like Portfolio Optimizer, Audiences, and Credit Risk APIs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coach a cross-functional engineering team to high performance.
Provide strategic technical and product direction for applications and development processes.
Lead the design and development of new full-stack products and features.
Partner with Product Managers to define roadmaps, scope features, and plan releases.
Encourage technical innovation, clean architecture, and high-quality coding standards.
Collaborate across global teams and departments to solve complex problems.
Drive a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and agile adaptation.
Lead and participate in goal-setting, accountability practices, and performance tracking.
Serve as an individual contributor when required during product implementation.
Maintain communication with senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback into engineering decisions.
Forecast engineering needs and scale platforms to meet customer demands.
Required Skills
10+ years of full stack software engineering experience in production environments.
Proven track record managing or mentoring engineering teams.
Deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, .NET/C#, React, Redux, TypeScript, and SQL Server.
Experience leading technical implementation of large, complex features.
Ability to architect scalable solutions and manage cross-functional projects.
Customer-focused development mindset with attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and an adaptable mindset.
Strong understanding of engineering best practices and quality assurance standards.
Willingness to learn and experiment with emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in building enterprise-scale applications and APIs.
Prior experience in analytics or data-heavy environments.
